Silver
Each night I run and reside
From the me from which I cannot hide
The silver understands my pain
And helps me take it away
My only true friend to which I may expose my desires
And release my empty, heartwrenching fire
My silver, so cold, like my heart
Saves me from memories that take me to the start
Of it all
My tumble and fall
This damned demise
That fell from empty blue skies
Like rain to set on fire my soul
The last thing I’ll ever own.
My silver, so sharp, like my devilish fears
To slice the words of all those near
My saviour, my refuge, that releases that liquid, crimson and nice
My silver is my only Christ.
